Create an editable native timeline or open a supported, locked project package for a supported project package round trip.
Your project media is processed locally and is not uploaded to Kolora Creative LLC.
Start a native Kolora project
- From Project Home, choose New Kolora Project.
- Import video or still images from Photos, Files, on-device storage, or a connected drive.
- Arrange clips and refine timing with the timeline controls.
- Complete the grade and adjust clip-level audio as needed.
- Choose the export range and delivery settings, then review the finished file before delivery.
Grade a project package
- Prepare your timeline in a compatible editor and create a supported project package.
- Use Browse Files on Project Home or share the package to Kolora from Apple's Share interface.
- Allow Kolora to validate the package and prepare its local working copy.
- Complete the color work. The imported timeline remains locked to protect the round trip.
- Use Kolora's export controls to create a project package, then open it in the compatible source editor and verify the result.
If a package will not open
- Confirm that you are opening a supported project package with its original contents intact.
- Confirm that the package finished exporting before opening it in Kolora.
- Make sure the iPad has enough free storage for the package, extracted media, thumbnails, caches, and export.
- Try opening the project package from the Files app or sharing it from a compatible source editor.
- Retain the original project and project package until you have confirmed the returned project works as expected.
Storage and project removal
Kolora may keep working package copies, extracted media, editable grade state, thumbnails, proxies, caches, generated LUT data, and exported packages in its private app storage. Use Kolora's project and storage controls to remove projects or clear rebuildable files. Deleting Kolora removes its local app container, subject to separate Apple device or iCloud backups.
